Chiang Mai to Host First and Largest International Airshow in Northern Thailand

Chiang Mai is preparing to host its first and largest International Airshow in the Thai North: Chiang Mai Air Show 2020 is scheduled to take place between 21–23 February this year.

The show is organized by the Chiang Mai Province together with Chiang Mai Tourism Business Association and network partners. The airshow which will be the largest event of its type in the north of Thailand, will be held at Chiang Mai Air Sports Airport in San Kamphaeng District from 6 am till 8 pm on February 21, and from 6 am till 9 pm on Feburuary 22 and 23.

The program of the event will feature low-flying aircraft including glider planes and ultrasmall planes demonstrations, hot air baloons and parachute flights shows, and radio controlled planes flights. There will be booths with tourist information, OTOP products and food and drinks. In the evening, musical and cultural performances as well as light and baloon shows will be running on the stage.

There will be free admission to the event which is expected to make its contribution in boosting tourism in the area attracting both domestic and international visitors and help Chiang Mai ensure its leading position as a hub for light aviation in the country.
