China Airlines to Fly between Taipei and Chiang Mai

China Airlines, the national carrier of Taiwan, is going to launch direct flights between Taipei and Chiang Mai effective from 23 June, 2020.

The route will be operated four times a week, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The route between Taipei (Taoyuan) and Chiang Mai international airport will be served by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft accommodating up to 158 passengers.

Flights from Taipei will depart at 7.30 am and arrive to Chiang Mai at 10.20 am. The return flight from Thailand to Taiwan will take off at 11.20 am and land at destination at 4.35 pm. Taipei is one hour ahead of Chiang Mai. Flight time in each direction will be about 4 hours.

China Airlines already flies to the both Bangkok's airports, Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang International Airport as well as to Phuket. The northern city of Chiang Mai will become the third destination in Thailand served by the airline.

China Airlines is currently expanding its global network in order to offer convenient connecting flights via Taiwan to travellers from Europe, Americas and Oceania. The airline operates over 1,300 flights weekly to 95 airports in 91 cities across Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania.
