World's Strongest Passports Provide Visa-Free/VOA Access to 190 Countries

The recently released Henley Passport Index 2019 Q4 update confirmed Japan's and Singapore's top position in the Henley Passport Index: passport holders of the both countries can travel visa-free or with a visa-on-arrival to 190 countries across the globe, adding one more point to their Q3 result.

Japan and Singapore have been occupying the top line of the chart for almost 2 years in a row after they managed to outscore Germany at the beginning of 2018.

Finland
Germany and South Korea once again share the second line. All the three countries provide their passport holders access to 188 destinations.

Denmark, Italy, and Luxembourg follow immediately after yielding just one visa-free country (187) to the previous group. France, Spain, and Sweden are one line lower with 186 countries and so are the members of the fifth group of 4, Austria, the Netherlands and Portugal (185).

In the opposite side of the index we see the same 5 countries as in Q3. The five countries with the lowest number of visa-free destinations accessible to their citizens are Afghanistan (25), Iraq (27), Syria (29), Pakistan (31) and Somalia (31).

The Henley Passport Index is a ranking of all the passports of the world according to the number of countries their holders can travel to visa-free. The ranking is updated on a quarterly bases.
