Ngong Ping 360 Prepares for Chinese New Year

While Christmas and the Countdown 2020 are almost here, Hong Kong's famous Ngong Ping 360 is preparing for the Chinese New Year that falls on Saturday, January 25, in 2020.

To cope with larger number of visitors during the holiday period, Ngong Ping 360 will carry out scheduled maintenance on January, 14. The cable car will be closed the whole day on that date but Ngong Ping Village and Motion 360 will remain open.

During the Chinese New Year period the service will operate extended hours: from 9 am till 8 pm between January 25–28 and from 9 am till 6 pm between January 29–31.

Ngong Ping 360 is a cable car service on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It is a rare example of a bi-cable gondola circulating lift system, and is the longest aerial cable car system of its kind in Asia. 

It is also an important tourist attraction that offers both thrilling and cultural experience to visitors. The Ngong Ping Cable Car stretches 5.7 km from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping where the Ngong Ping Village is situated, a Chinese-style village that mirrors and uphold sthe cultural and spiritual veracity of the Ngong Ping area. The village offers shopping and dining experiences along with other attractions including Walking with Buddha, the Monkey's Tale Theatre and the Ngong Ping Tea House.
