Museum Night Trail Project in KL Opened till December 31

It is the last chance to join Museum Night Trail in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Launched last month, the project will go on until the last day of the year.

The new program was launched by the  Department of Museums Malaysia earlier this year to enhance travellers' experience from visiting the Malaysian capital. Visitors are offered to join the night tour which includes museum exhibitions as well as an array of art and cultural activities organised by the three participating museums: Muzium Tekstil Negara, Muzium Diraja, and Muzium Negara.

Muzium Negara, or the National Museum of Malaysia, is a treasure box of Malaysia's rich cultural and historical heritage. Opened is 1963, it houses four main galleries with displays on ethnology and natural history.

Muzium Tekstil Negara, or the National Textile Museum, sits next to Sultan Abdul Samad Building and occupies an Indo-Saracenic Revival style mansion which used to be the headquarters for the Federal Malay State Railways. Opened to the public in 2010, the museum tracks trends and developments of textile production in Malaysia since the pre-history to the present.

Muzium Diraja, or the Royal Museum, occupies the a Palladian-style Old National Palace. Opened in 2013, the museums features the official and personal spaces of His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong.
