Christmas Wonderland Returns to Singapore

The Gardens by the Bay are ready for Christmas extravaganza – Yuletide spirits will fill the place between November 30 and December 26.

Singapore's annual Christmas Wonderland is the real highlight of the winter festive season. First held in 2014, it has been bringing festive mood to over three milion visitors every year. The gardens come alive with night-time illuminations, and Santa Claus roams the streets bustling with Christmas markets.

If you are heading to Singapore during this period, here is what you have to put on your bucket list:

Amazing decorations
An absolute must-see and the star of the tropical Gardens by the Bay is luminarie light sculptures handmade by craftsmen from Italy.

Carnival games and rides
Merry-go-rounds, spinning cups and other carousels will bring you that sweet nostalgie of your childhood.

Ice skating in the tropics
Well, not exactily ice skating. A synthetic Swiss skating rink awaits skating enthusiasts at The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay.

Santa's Grotto
You won't need to head over to Finland to pay a visit to Santa. Here he is, waiting for you in Singapore!

Festive market
It is the place to experience a traditional European Christmas market. Wink – and you are in Hyde Park in London or strolling along Champs-Élysées in Paris.
