AirAsia Launches Routes from Lombok to Surabaya, Yogyakarta

AirAsia Indonesia, a low-cost associate carrier of Malaysian low-fare airline AirAsia, is going to launch new direct routes between Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara and Surabaya and Yogyakarta, both on Java.

Flights between Lombok and Surabaya are scheduled to commence on November 25. The route will be served four times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Surabaya-bound flights will leave Lombok International Airport Praya in the evening at 8.35 pm. In the opposite direction, the departure time from Surabaya is 9.05 pm. Flight time in either direction is 65-75 minutes. Time difference between Surabaya and Lombok is one hour.

The next day, November 26, the innaugiral flight on Lombok-Yogyakarta route will depart. The route will be served three times a week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. 

Flights from Lombok to Yogyakarta will leave at the same time as to Surabaya – at 8.35 pm. Return flights to Lombok will take off from Adisucipto International Airport in Yogyakarta at 9.35 pm arriving to the the island after midnight. Flight time in either direction is 90 minutes. Yogyakarta is one hour ahead of Lombok.

According to the statement of deputy CEO of AirAsia Indonesia, “The routes also provide options for travelers in Lombok who wish to extend their vacation to destinations in East Java and Yogyakarta, and vice versa.”
