Samui Festival Will Hit the Island September 14–19

Surat Thani province has joined hands with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and invites guests to visit the annual Samui Festival that will be held from September 14–19, 2019 on Samui Island.

The program of Samui Festival features a variety of activities, parades, processions, concerts and competitions held at different locations and venues across the island.

Yet the best place to experience the festival is Nathon pier where an Art Lane will be set with handicrafts and drawings of local artists, Food Street with stalls offering local Samui specialties as well as dishes from all parts of Thailand, and OTOP Market, the 'to go' destination for buying souvenirs and typical Samui products – from coconut oil to local delicacies. The Art Lane, Food Street and OTOP Market will be opened daily from noon to midnight. Besides, every evening at 8 pm till midnight Nathor pier will host cooking classes and live music performances. Live music stage will be also located at Chaweng Beach.

In the frame of the festival, the Samui Marathon & Trail and Samui Bike events will take place on September 15. The marathon and the trail event starts at 5.30 am at Hin Lad Waterfall, Lipa Yai, with the Cycling event following at 6.30 am at Nathon Pier.
