AirAsia's Sustainable Asean Livery to Promote Sustainable Travel

To celebrate the ASEAN Day on August 9, AirAsia unveiled a new SUSTAINABLE ASEAN livery on its newest Airbus A320 in Bangkok.

The special livery features all the most recognizable and cult Asean tourism attractions like Halong Bay in Vietnam or Kyaiktiyo Pagoda in Myanmar. The livery is meant to advance and support AirAsia’s sustainability partnership with Asean nations and its mission to create a globally recognised Asean brand.

A truly Asean airline, AirAsia puts a lot of effort into drawing attention to environmental problems the region faces. The airline calls travellers to make their trips as sustainable as possible and support local initiatives aimed at preservation of the environment. AirAsia conducts guest education on sustainability and works on carbon reduction and waste management, encourages separated collection of recyclable items and supports community-based tourism programs.

The new Airbus A320 aircraft in Sustainable Asean livery will be based in Malaysia. From Kuala Lumpur, it will serve over 50 destinations in all 10 ASEAN member nations. Later this year, one of Bangkok-based Airbuses A320 belonging to the airline will also get the same new livery.
