Aiming at ensuring unrivalled comfort and convenience for all passengers, these changes will allow the airline to meet shifts in demand. The renovations are scheduled to begin this autumn and will be completed by mid 2022. The company will give a facelift to 8 of their Boeing 777-200 and 11 Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The improvements will be made for both Premium and Economy Class seats. Besides, the renovated planes will feature more Premium Class seats than before bringing the total number to 28 seats on each aircraft.
15.6-inch touch panel personal seat monitors will be installed for new Premium Class.
The entertainment library will be enlarged to allow a wider choice for passengers.
Wi-Fi entertainment service will provide access to in-flight Wi-Fi entertainment via ANA app.
A special high tech fabric will be used for new seats to increase comfort.
An ergonomic storage space will be added under the monitor for passengers' convenience.
A partition between the new seats will give more privacy to passengers.
The backrest frame shape has been optimized to make it perfectly fit a range of body types.
The new seats are produced by Toyota Boshoku, the leading automotive seats producer in Japan. The airline has already installed such seats on six B767-300 aircraft and have received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
