Star Alliance Partners with Scyscanner, Gives Major Makeover to Its Website

Now visitor of Star Alliance website get access to search for flights, airfares and direct bookings thanks to the partnership between one of the largest global airline alliances and Skyscanner, a travel metasearch engine.

The new feature allows travellers to utilise Skyscanner’s fare search and then links them directly to the alliance’s member carrier websites for purchase. The alliance carrier fare search feature responds to the customers’ demand and offers frequent flyers of the alliance members to easily book with Star Alliance member airlines and enjoy Star Alliance benefits. Basically, all fares and flights which are available on individual sites of alliance's members are now available on the alliance's website directly. 

It is one of the main additions to the Alliance's website which has just undergone a major makeover and is now more user-friendly and provides shorter paths to the most popular features. The website compliments the individual websites of 28 partner airlines and is available in 9 languages. 

Founded on 14 May 1997, today Star Alliance unites 28 member airlines. Together, they daily operate over 18,800 flights to over 1,300 airports in 193 countries thus covering about 98% of the world's airport destinations. Some of the major alliance's member airlines operating in Asia include Air China, Air India, All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, EVA Air, Shenzhen Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and Thai Airways.
