New Michelin Guide Bangkok, Phuket and Phang Nga 2019 Unveiled

It's official: Thailand's 217 dining and 67 lodging establishments are featured in the new edition of Michelin Guide Bangkok, Phuket and Phang Nga 2019. Be the first to try them out – are they good enough or not?

While Bangkok undoubtedly offers a unique Thai cuisine experience being a melting pot of regional culinary cultures, both Phang Nga and Phuket are prime gastronomy tourism destinations, too.

Great news: all the three two-star venues mentioned in the previous edition of the Michelin guide including Gaggan, Le Normandie, and Mezzaluna are all here again. There is one new two-star addition to the club – Sühring, a brainchild of a two-brother team dishing out outstanding European menues with a unique German twist.

In a one-star Michelin restaurants group there are totally 23 venues mentioned among which eight (8!) are newcomers. Five of them are in the cetnre of Bangkok – you do not need to travel far to give your tastebuds the ultimate treat. They are: Canvas, Methavalai Sorndaeng, R-Haan, Saawan, and Sorn. There is one one-star new addition in Samut Sakhon province, near Bangkok (Ruean Panya), and one – in Nonthaburi province, also close to the capital (Suan Thip). Finally, Phuket got one more Michelin-starred venue, PRU, which boasts its own 96-hectare organic farm.

The complete guide is already available in Thai and English for download from the official Michelin Guide website.
