Don Mueang Airport will compete with Suvarnabhumi

In the nearest future Don Mueang Airport, which was opened to support the main Airport of Bangkok - Suvarnabhumi, may become its competitor. The Airports of Thailand (AoT) is working to expand Don Mueang.

In the nearest future Don Mueang Airport, which was opened to support the main Airport of Bangkok - Suvarnabhumi, may become its competitor. The Airports of Thailand (AoT) is working to expand Don Mueang and to increase its capacity to 30 million passengers per year within two years.

AoT plans to upgrade terminals 1 and 2 and to expand runways also. The airport would serve connecting flights as well as Suvarnabhumi and would work with the main International Airlines while now it usually serves only Thai low cost airlines.
